Role-based access

 

 

Select User Permissions from the Staff menu under Tools.
 
The system administrator can assign access to different functions dependent on each staff members’ role in the practice. 
Staff members (users) can hold one or many roles.Each role will give access to some of the restricted functions (those that have been ticked in the Functions list).
  • Highlight the role you want.
  • Tick one or many functions for each role.
  • Tick one or many users to assign them to this role.
There is always a System Administrator role. Users with this role may add/change other user’s roles. Add new roles as required to group access to functions. 
 
If a staff member has not been given access to certain restricted functions through their assigned roles, Menu items may be disabled or hidden. 

 

Restricted Functions

Account Setup  Allows changing services and fees.

Accounts Correction  Allows corrections, crediting invoices and reversing payments.

Accounts Schedule  Allows review and sending of batched and electronic invoices.

Cashup Screen  Allows review of account transactions.

CBF Upload  Allows user to create, send or import Capitation Based Funding files to/from your PHO.

Clinical Notes Screen  Access to review/edit clinical notes.

Diagram Templates Screen – Add/edit list of diagrams available in clinical notes.

Document Templates Screen  Add/edit handouts, patient letter templates, text message templates, labels etc.

Edit exclusivity to practice  Patients notes can be assigned to common or exclusive categories, restricting their access to practitioners working for the same organisations.

Healthlink  Import mail from Healthlink folders into My Practice.

Income Reports  Access reports in the Cashup screen.

Organisations  Add/edit organisations (phone book).

Query Builder  Create/run customised queries on practice data.

Repeat Prescriptions  Access to repeat prescriptions screen.

Restrict appointments to own practice  Hides appointment books of staff from other practices.

Staff  Add/edit staff members.
