Keyboard references
 
References to the keyboard are placed inside square brackets.
 
e.g.      [F1] Press the F1 function key.
            [Shift F1]  Press the [Shift] key and while holding down this key down, press the [F1] key.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shortcuts
 
Keyboard shortcuts are shown with their corresponding menu items.
 
Press the function keys at the top of the keyboard for shortcuts F1 to F12.
 
Common shortcuts include:
 
Press [F1] to access Help;
Press [F2] to search for a patient;
Press [Esc] to close the current screen aborting changing;
Press [F12] to save changes and exit normally.
 
Moving between objects on the screen
 
To move between tabs, buttons, lists, tick boxes or panes:
 
If you see a shortcut label, press the shortcut keys (see above); or
Press the [Tab] key to move from one object on the screen to the next.
Press [Shift Tab] to move backwards; or
Move the mouse cursor over the object and click the left mouse button.
 
You may need to press [Enter] or double click with the left mouse button.
 
Menu Bar
 
You can select menu items with the mouse or the listed short cuts.
 
Many objects also display a menu bar if you click them once with the right mouse button.
 
Note: The buttons across the top of the screen are general and will produce a search screen to allow you to select a patient before proceeding with that activity. The right click menu in general relates specifically to the patient whose appointment has been clicked on i.e. that patient’s notes or details will appear.
