Alerts and allergies You will receive an alert if your chosen drug belongs to the same drug class as one in the patient’s Alert list. To add an alert or allergy Enter the Generic name of the drug or its pharmaceutical group into the Search box. Select the correct match from the search results and press [OK]. In the next field, enter the nature of the reaction e.g. rash. Press [Enter]. The alert/allergy will drop down into the list below.

Recording Nil Allergies If this patient has confirmed no allergies exist - Enter 'Nil' into the search box and press [Enter] To remove an alert or allergy Highlight the alert/allergy in the list. Press [Remove].
